Traditional Face Lift Vs Beauty Lift?

By Dr. Amir Rassoli

Patients seek out face lifts for several reasons, the most common being the desire to remove wrinkles and sagging from their face in an effort to appear younger and more beautiful. A traditional face lift, also known as a rhytidectomy, is one of the top 10 cosmetic surgery procedures performed today. A Beauty Lift, utilizing the Serdev Suture Suspension technique, is an alternative to traditional face lifts offering no scarring and a very fast period of recovery.

Face lift surgery takes several hours, as surgeons make a large incision from the ear to the hairline, tighten tissues, remove loose skin and 'lift' the remaining skin, finishing up the procedure with sutures. It does leave scars, although they are usually not easily visible due to their discreet placement. A rhytidectomy is major surgery, usually requiring a general anesthetic. Recovery is not immediate, and most patients require several weeks to resume normal activities. There are several complications which can occur with face lift procedures, including bleeding, infection and necrosis of the skin flaps. There is usually significant swelling and bruising around the incision areas post-surgery, and numbness in the face which can last up to several months.

A much simpler, yet still very effective procedure, is the "Serdev Suture" lift. Utilizing smaller incisions and elastic suture methods, this Beauty Lift procedure is a much less invasive alternative. The Serdev technique is less traumatic for the patient, leaving no scars and offering a rapid recovery with less swelling. Many Beauty Lift patients are able to rapidly resume normal activities. Beauty Lift procedures are performed using local anesthetic, so patients are able to drive themselves to and from the procedure.

Types of Cosmetic Surgery To Make You Beautiful

By: April Kerr

Description : In the beginning cosmetic surgery was a resort for those who had physical derangements due to accidents or birth defects. Later this method started getting prominence as a means of enhancing the physical appearance, rather than rectifying the affected parts. The most common types of cosmetic surgeries that people go in for are reduction of fats and tightening of skin. You should be aware of the risks and complications before you decide to go in for any type of cosmetic surgery. Here we discuss some types of cosmetic surgery

Lip Augmentation

Some may feel the need to make their lips look fuller and more sensuous and go in for lip augmentation. Here the cosmetic filler will be implanted inside your lips to make them look fuller. However, in due course the substance that has been injected gets absorbed by your body and you need to go for regular visits to your doctor to maintain your new look.

The substances that are injected are collagen, restylane and fat. It is a simple and quick process and you do not experience any pain as anesthesia is used. Before you go in for lip augmentation be aware of all the risks involved such as allergic reactions, soreness, bruises and redness. The expenses for this type of cosmetic surgery are pretty high and the rates vary.

Botox

This cosmetic surgery is one which removes the wrinkles from your face and neck to give you a more youthful look. The tiny creases and wrinkles around your eyes and forehead are made to disappear by injecting botox.

Facelift

This is one of the sophisticated and sometimes complicated types of cosmetic surgery. This is done on middle aged people. When you start ageing your lower jaw line starts losing its fineness and there are padding formations and a double chin develops. To augment the effects of a facelift, you can also have some minor surgeries such as blepharoplasty, forehead lift, mechanical dermabrasion, wrinkle therapy and chemical peel.

Liposuction and Hidroliposuction

The desire for an ideal body shape has made many to go under the knife and liposuction and hidroliposuction is responsible for removal of excess fatty tissues and cellulite from your body.

Breast Enlargement and Breast Reduction

This is one very common type of cosmetic surgery that women undergo to get the right breast size. In breast enlargement your breasts will be increased with silicone implants and in breast reduction the size of your breasts are reduced by applying breast hidroliposuction technique.

The other types of cosmetic surgeries are aesthetic nose and eye surgery, eyelid surgery, forehead lift, chemical face peel, breast lifts, correction of enlarged breasts of males, mechanical dermabrasion, removal of scars and tattoos, furrow therapy by the use of injections, Brachioplasty and shaping of the female outer genitalia portion.
