Get Kissable Lips With Lip Agumentation And Limited Surgery

by Dave Stringham

Angelina Jolie - sexy lips

During the past decade, the size and shape of lips has gained special attention and prominence in the sphere of cosmetic surgery. Enhanced, full, sensuous lips have become the accepted standard as a characteristic of beauty. Great emphasis has been placed on the full lip in glamour and fashion magazines, which has influenced millions of women to achieve this look.

Lip enhancement gained particular popularity in the late 1980's with the invention and availability of Collagen. Over the past decade plastic surgeons have looked for a variety of ways to achieve this look with products and methods that are both safe and long lasting. Today the most popular techniques include Hylaforms, such as Restylane and Juvaderm, Collagen, and Fat injection.

One of the most sexy and youthful features of the face are the lips. Luscious, plump, and full lips are signs of youth, health, and fertility. As we age our lips lose their fullness and volume. The upper lip sags and becomes thinner. Meanwhile, fine wrinkles develop around the lips which are called "lipstick lines" or "smoker's lines".

Lip augmentation consists of a variety of procedures designed to give a person more defined and fuller lips. Besides enlarging the lips, lip fillers or implants are also used to balance the upper and lower lips.

Injection of fillers such as Collagen, Hylaform, Juvederm, and fat into the lips is an easy way of enlarging or shaping the lips. Collagen is commercially available through plastic surgeons, but before having this procedure, you must first pass a collagen allergy test.

Lip augmentation advantages are, it does not require surgery and it is relatively inexpensive. Its disadvantage is that it is not permanent and usually lasts 3-5 months.

Other newer injectable fillers such as those mentioned above usually last much longer than collagen and don't need to be allergy tested. Fat, tendon, or dermal grafting is another method used for lip augmentation. They require harvesting of the fat, dermis, or tendon from another area of the body. Its biggest disadvantage is that the lips remain swollen and inflamed for a much longer period than when synthetic fillers are used.

These procedures like any other surgical procedure carry certain risks and have potential for complications. There is a risk of infection, which is minimized by taking antibiotics.

Lip augmentation is an excellent, minimally invasive technique used to augment thin lips and improve the shape of one's lips. Thin lips can appear at any age, while changes in shape and the appearance of fine wrinkles can be a function of the aging process.

This method can be used to rebuild volume as well as fill in fine lines around the mouth. A lush, sensuous and youthful look is quickly achievable. As with all Plastic Surgery, the goal is to improve self-image and, in turn, invigorate self-confidence.

Types of Cosmetic Surgery To Make You Beautiful

By: April Kerr

Description : In the beginning cosmetic surgery was a resort for those who had physical derangements due to accidents or birth defects. Later this method started getting prominence as a means of enhancing the physical appearance, rather than rectifying the affected parts. The most common types of cosmetic surgeries that people go in for are reduction of fats and tightening of skin. You should be aware of the risks and complications before you decide to go in for any type of cosmetic surgery. Here we discuss some types of cosmetic surgery

Lip Augmentation

Some may feel the need to make their lips look fuller and more sensuous and go in for lip augmentation. Here the cosmetic filler will be implanted inside your lips to make them look fuller. However, in due course the substance that has been injected gets absorbed by your body and you need to go for regular visits to your doctor to maintain your new look.

The substances that are injected are collagen, restylane and fat. It is a simple and quick process and you do not experience any pain as anesthesia is used. Before you go in for lip augmentation be aware of all the risks involved such as allergic reactions, soreness, bruises and redness. The expenses for this type of cosmetic surgery are pretty high and the rates vary.

Botox

This cosmetic surgery is one which removes the wrinkles from your face and neck to give you a more youthful look. The tiny creases and wrinkles around your eyes and forehead are made to disappear by injecting botox.

Facelift

This is one of the sophisticated and sometimes complicated types of cosmetic surgery. This is done on middle aged people. When you start ageing your lower jaw line starts losing its fineness and there are padding formations and a double chin develops. To augment the effects of a facelift, you can also have some minor surgeries such as blepharoplasty, forehead lift, mechanical dermabrasion, wrinkle therapy and chemical peel.

Liposuction and Hidroliposuction

The desire for an ideal body shape has made many to go under the knife and liposuction and hidroliposuction is responsible for removal of excess fatty tissues and cellulite from your body.

Breast Enlargement and Breast Reduction

This is one very common type of cosmetic surgery that women undergo to get the right breast size. In breast enlargement your breasts will be increased with silicone implants and in breast reduction the size of your breasts are reduced by applying breast hidroliposuction technique.

The other types of cosmetic surgeries are aesthetic nose and eye surgery, eyelid surgery, forehead lift, chemical face peel, breast lifts, correction of enlarged breasts of males, mechanical dermabrasion, removal of scars and tattoos, furrow therapy by the use of injections, Brachioplasty and shaping of the female outer genitalia portion.
