  1. That's a really good post! I'd add another very important suggestion to the list: reduce or eliminate alcohol. After sun and nicotine, alcohol has the most damaging effect on skin. Alcohol damages the skin a) by robbing cells of water (dehydration); b) by damaging the liver; and c) changing the endocrine and in particular the serum lipid profile.
