Tips to Keep Your Nails Beautiful

Nails are made of keratin an object in the body. Nails grow at an average rate of 0.01 centimeters a day. Caring for nails is equally important as taking care and pampering all the other body parts. Nails keep on growing so one need to regularly clean them and keep them in shape. Smoking damages nails very badly so one should avoid smoking or should cut off the intake to keep oneself healthy and to keep the nails healthy. Women do wear long artificial nails matching with their outfits to make their fingers look different and they do different art work on the nails to make them appear unique by using gels, colors, sequins on them.
Ensure that half of your diet is made up of fresh fruits and raw vegetables. This will supple your nails with vitamins, minerals and enzymes.
Drink fresh carrot juice as often as possible as it is rich in calcium and phosphorus and good for strengthening your nails.
Wash your hands with a herbal based soap and lukewarm water and let it dry. When the nails are soft, they are easy to cut and file. However, be careful as improper filing can weaken the nails. Use a nail file and shape up your nails according to our desire with easy, gentle strokes. File from the side to the middle along the edge of the nail for the best results. Do not apply pressure on the top which will cause then to crack and break.
Water-based nail enamels, hypoallergenic and unscented nail products are available if you have sensitive skin.
Tap dry your hands. While they are moist, use a cuticle cutter and remove all the dead tissue around your nails. Finish your preliminary cutting at this point. Do not file your nails yet.
If you enjoy very active sports like skiing or hiking, choose socks that have some acrylic fibers rather than just wool. Man-made fibers help absorb perspiration better.
Apply a topcoat after the polish is completely dry. This protects and gives sheen to the nail polish.
Boosts circulation and encourages healthy nail growth and is the perfect way to make your hands feel wonderful.
Don't store polish in a warm place as the polish will change consistency, store it always somewhere cool i.e. in the refrigerator.
Apply a lengthening coat of mascara to your lashes. If you have light or sparse eyelashes, add a second coat after the first coat dries for a darker, fuller appearance. Then, add just a swipe of mascara to your lower lashes for a bit of extra length, but be careful to avoid any globs or bunching.
Finish your eyes with a single coat of mascara on the upper lashes. Add slightly more mascara to the outer edges of your lashes for a more dramatic appearance.
For a grown-up and glamorous effect, choose deep dark colors that strike a dramatic note, such as this vampish purple. First, file nails into a long oval shape and apply a base coat. Give nails at least two coats of main polish, allowing them to dry thoroughly in between. Finish with a top coat.
